By accessing or using PolyTalk (“PolyTalk”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
By using PolyTalk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, we recommend not using the software or services.
1. Nature of the Service
PolyTalk provides a privacy-first, self-hosted real-time translation platform, available in:
Open-source version
Enterprise version
PolyTalk does not host user data by default. All core functionality is designed to operate within your own infrastructure.
2. Self-Hosted Responsibility
PolyTalk is provided as software that you deploy and manage.
Because PolyTalk is self-hosted, you are responsible for managing:
Hosting environment
Data storage and security
Compliance with applicable laws
Configuration and usage of the software
PolyTalk does not access, control, or process your communication data, unless explicitly required for support and authorized by you.
3. Open Source License (AGPL)
The open-source version of PolyTalk is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL).
Your use of the open-source version must comply with the terms of that license.
4. Enterprise Services
PolyTalk may offer enterprise features, including but not limited to:
Advanced language capabilities
Custom configurations
API access
Dedicated support
Enhanced performance, scalability, or additional enterprise-grade features
Enterprise services are:
Still self-hosted unless explicitly agreed otherwise
Governed by separate commercial agreements, where applicable
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use PolyTalk for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities
Interfere with or disrupt systems or networks
Attempt unauthorized access or reverse engineering beyond license permissions
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. Intellectual Property
The open-source components are licensed under AGPL
All branding, trademarks, and proprietary components remain the property of PolyTalk
You may not use PolyTalk branding without prior permission.
7. No Warranty
PolyTalk is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We make no guarantees regarding:
Accuracy of translations
System reliability or uptime
Fitness for a particular purpose
Error-free operation
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
PolyTalk shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data, revenue, or business
System failures within your infrastructure
Because PolyTalk is self-hosted, you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for system operation and data integrity
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PolyTalk from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
Your use of the software
Your violation of these Terms
Your failure to comply with applicable laws
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to:
Enterprise services
Support services
if you violate these Terms.
Open-source usage remains governed by the AGPL license.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of PolyTalk after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. International Use
You are responsible for complying with local laws applicable to your use of PolyTalk in your jurisdiction.
